The unofficial has been made official and is promising to become a mess. What started with WizKid the Starboy unfollowing Davido the OBO boss on twitter and vise versa has been put in actual words where Wizkid tweets and supposedly calls Davido's voice a frog voice.
There are many speculations about how and why this beef started but what is most evident is that this is a power struggle. It is hard deciding between the two who is best and who is second best.
Comparing followers and listeners, Wiz has 2.7m followers on twitter, 5.4m on Spotify and 3.7m on Instagram as compared to Davido who has 2.3m followers on twitter, 800k on Spotify and 4.3m on Instagram.
Well, numbers they say do not lie as Wizkid's career has seen more international collaborations and milestones more than that of Davido. NET has a detailed review on these differences and previous issues both have been through.
The most recent flame started where Davido stated in his song with Olamide "Summer Body" in response to WizKid calling him local earlier on that:
"With our yankee passport/Dem say we local/ You better catch up/I go see you later"
Now WizKid has responded and Davido has been silent so far. Is Davido acting matured or he actually has nothing to say?

JAY-Z's 4:44 IS HERE

Finally, the much expected Hov Album "4:44" is here. It features 10 songs including one titled the same as the album. The album also comes with a video for one of its songs "The Story of O.J" which seems to be doing well so far.  It is rather unfortunate that Kanye West is not featured on this album but surprisingly it features the likes of his own mother, Gloria Carter, Frank Ocean as well as Damien Marley. These can be seen in the track list for 4:44. Much of the production credit goes to "No I.D".  The album as well as the video can be streamed exclusively on Tidal.

Keep checking here for a detailed review of the album including its sales records and opinions on the album which will be posted later on.

Are you a well known artist or an underground (upcoming) artist planning to make the big bucks in the music industry in Ghana, or  you are a concerned individual interested in knowing how Ghanaian artists get income from music? If yes, then you are reading the right post. Here are the most promising means from which one can make money out of music production in Ghana. I hope you find a suitable choice from the list.
A great way to get some cash off your music is to sign with a record label, a well recognized music group or promoters. Most artists fancy doing their own thing in terms of production and sales - and it is okay to some extent at least if you have the means. But for anyone starting music especially a talented fellow, the best option is to sign with a record label. Questions may come up like "Are there music labels in Ghana at all?" and the the answer is yes. They mostly do not look the part but some are quiet easy to recognize. In Ghana…

The last four days after the release of Jay Z's 13th studio album "4:44" has been nothing but loud. The album has taken social media platforms by storm and keeps on doing so. The album has been released exclusively on TIDAL and is expected to be available on Spotify and iTunes soon enough. It is described as a lecture for black folk by most people including Kendrick Lamar. It also contains details that some take to be shots towards some artists including Future and Hov's very own Kanye West.  The first and most obvious of the shots were targeted at Ye. Hov touches on deals that went wrong between him and Kanye West on the song "Kill Jay Z" with the lines: "But you got hurt because you did cool by 'Ye
You gave him 20 million without blinkin'
He gave you 20 minutes on stage, fuck was he thinkin'?
"Fuck wrong with everybody?" is what you sayin'
But if everybody's crazy, you're the one that's insane"
This is amidst ne…
